This IIoT based system consists of two main parts: SCADA software and control hardware. The communication between these two main parts is via IoT modems with long range that we developed for this project. Using the SCADA software which is installed in the control room, operator can observe KPIs and remotely open and close irrigation gates and also sets them in the automated mode for downstream or upstream water management. Down stream water management results in near to demand supply that results in the enhancement of the efficiency of irrigation network. This IIoT based system significantly enhances the efficiency of agricultural irrigation network, which consumes 92% of Iran's fresh water. Therefore, this technology is one of the key technologies for solving Iran's water shortage crisis. Both SCADA software and hardware have been designed and developed by us.
